Soul Space is a program for the formation of retreat leaders, commencing in November 2018.
The program is for those who sense that God is calling them to grow in their own contemplative formation and in their capacity to generate environments for others to experience and reflect on the Spirit’s presence in their lives.
It is an experientially based program focusing on the gifts/skills needed to facilitate quiet days.
The program commences with a weekend residential (November 2-4) at The Hermitage, Mittagong. The subsequent sessions:
are in Canberra, at Rainbow Cottage, Holy Covenant Anglican Church, Dexter Street, Cook. The Canberra weekends will comprise sessions in common with those undertaking the Soul Journey Companions program, before separating into the retreat leadership stream.
The program covers five themes:
- Preparing oneself as a retreat leader
- Preparing participants
- Preparing retreats
- Reflecting on experience
The program will facilitate transformational learning through activities and experiences including: workshops, practical experience of quiet days, communal worship, individual and group reflection, and practical application of gifts and skills.
